H.macdo Paper Co. is a greeting card company featuring the illustration art of Heather Kellie Freeman. For celebrating all of life’s momentous occasions, H.macdo Paper Co. note cards and greetings are whimsical and modern with a nod to vintage charm.
About Heather…
I’ve always loved illustration, drawing and swoon over gorgeous paper but before I created H.macdo Paper Co., I struggled to find the perfect creative outlet for my drawings and designs that I felt evoked an emotional response from recipients. After a DIY obsession with designing stationery for my own wedding, I was inspired to create a line of bridal paper products that helped my customers communicate with passion and purpose. The Wedding Day Collection, based on hand illustrated ink and watercolor designs took off in my Etsy shop and I’ve found that even in this digital era, my customers rely on stylish greeting cards and stationery products to help emphasize gratitude and the importance of appreciation for loved ones on their big day. Since then, I’ve expanded my line to offer greeting cards for Moms, Dads, and sentiments for Love and Encouragement. In 2019, the Artist in Residence Program for PAPYRUS Stores, represented my line of greeting cards for sale at local PAPYRUS Stores in the Westchester NY, NYC and Connecticut. I love to support local efforts around my hometown of Rye NY, participating in artist markets to support the Rye Historical Society, the Farmer’s Market, ArtsWestchester and donating proceeds to the local cancer support group, SOULRYEDERS.
Where We’re Headed…
The development of hmacdo.com is happening at an exciting time for our family. As we raise our two little ones, we are thrilled to know that operating this creative handmade business with hard work and combined passion for the arts and community will support our family. I am constantly inspired by my children’s creative understanding of seasonal changes and family traditions around the holidays. In the coming months, we will be working to include more Seasonal, Birthday, Holiday and Kids collections to the web site. I can’t wait to show you what we have planned next.
